Acting

Students will follow a dynamic study path through phases of introspective knowledge. Led by expert teachers, students will analyse and deepen their understanding of all the necessary aspects regarding the growth of the Individual and of the Actor, from both a theoretical and practical point of view. Improvisation, Diction, Perception, Movement will become increasingly present in the student’s everyday language. At the end of the academic course, students will be able to commence their careers thanks to a professional show reel and first class training.

Acting classes at Florence Movie Academy provide you, the students, with the introduction to and development of a solid acting technique, that you will be able to rely on regardless of the size or type of role that you are playing, applicable to both theatre and film acting. The emphasis is on clear, specific, step-by-step goals that are achievable from the first day until the final class.

The acting course is also helpful for writers, directors and producers that are interested in working with actors on set and story development.

In addition to the study of technique, the FMA places importance on being ready to face the challenges of the current industry, and helping with the challenges in surviving and thriving as an actor.

Original scenes that have been developed within the Academy are shot and edited in order to add to the students’ showreel so that they have something practical to show agents and casting directors for their studies. From script to screen and into the edit room, this process is carefully monitored and quality controlled by the faculty staff.
